Brilliant Legacy

It took me about 4 days to finish The Brilliant Legacy-starring Lee Seung Gi and Han Hyo Joo.Ok, to be honest, i didn't expect much from Lee Seung Gi because I'm so used of his sweet guy personality.Yet, he blew me off from the first episode itself. It was like seeing Lee Seung Gi's evil twin and there were times when i felt like wanna kick him for what he did to Han Hyo Joo's Go Eun Sung.Honestly, the storyline is quite easily predicted yet the screenwriter played a very very good job here because managed to get the audience aroused for continuation of each episode.
Brilliant Legacy is about Go Eun Sung who lost everything within a day.She 'lost' her father in an accident and discovered her family has gone bankrupt.Eun Sung and her retard brother were kicked out by her evil step mom without knowing her late father has left a huge amount of insurance on their name. She went thru a lot of painful moments after her brother was kidnapped and abandoned by their stepmother.Eun Sung missed her father 'last' moments and her brother went missing incident were accidentally related to Sun Woo Hwan.
During both critical moments, she was caught up in a fight with the mega egoist rich boy.Eun Sung's tragic life caught the attention of hwan's cousin-Park Jun Se and his grandmother. The comparison between both cousins are like heaven and earth.JunSe has all the qualities of a perfect man and Hwan's sister had a huge crush on him yet he set his heart only for EunSung. Hwan's grandmother determined to name Eun Sung as her successor after Eun Sung saved her and showed her sincere compassion.
Personally, i found Eun Sung's love and devotion for her brother-Eun Woo was very touching. My eyes went puffy and all red after watching the heartbreaking scenes.Any other person with weak heart will resort for suicide if they are in her shoes. All in all, this drama is one of the best k-drama for year 2009.Park Jun Se or his real name Bae Soo Bin shot to stardom after this drama and I'm looking forward to see more of him in future k-drama.
