Family Outing going to lose 2 family members.

It's a stormy day for all Family Outing fans as SBS announced Lee ChunHee and Park YeJin will be leaving the show.Personally, I nearly cried when I read the news on asianfanatics.com.I think other fans would share my feelings. To make it worst, they announced Park Si Yeon and Park Hae Jin most probably will replace the 2 original member.I called this as nightmare!!!!!
Let's say the 2 new members confirmed to join the Family Outing, the other members going to have a hard time to adjust-too much of awkwardness gonna happen.Argh!!!!!!this is really sucks. Most of all, Hyori has to compete with Si Yeon and I really hate to see her being outcast in her own 'family'.Yejin and Hyori has different kind of charm so whoever win the sleeping rank doesn't really matter for the fans.I'm feeling without Ye Jin, the family won't any longer enjoy their cooking dinner time and it's going to dull moments without Chunhee clumsy but funny acts.
what i fear most is, how the absence of Yejin and Chunhee will effect the ratings because these 2 have their own ardent followers.Hopefully, it will not be like 'we Got Married'-the ratings dropped after the original couples left the show.

Here's the article from asianfanatics posted by coolsmurf:

The miracle didn't quite happen as SBS made the much dreaded announcement that Park Ye Jin and Lee Chun Hee will indeed be leaving Family Outing. Replacing them will be Park Shi Yeon and Park Hae Jin, with discussions for their participation at the latter stages. SBS expressed, "Park Hae Jin and Park Shi Yeon are No.1 on our list, but it's not confirmed as yet." Just a matter of time, I guess. Park Hae Jin will be joining the filming of Family Outing in mid-June after concluding his Famous Princesses drama promotions in China. Park Shi Yeon will do likewise after finishing her drama filming of Story of a Man/The Slingshot in early June.

Park Ye Jin and Lee Chun Hee 1 year contract with SBS for Family Outing will be ending soon and they chose not to renew it so that they could focus 100% on their acting careers. Their popularity had soared tremendously over the past year thanks to their weekly Family Outing appearances and have led to their schedules being jam-packed with lots of work. They had no choice but to give up on Family Outing in the end and will be filming their farewell episode on 1st - 2nd June next week (showing on 21st, 28th June). SBS said, "The other family members can't bear to see them go either but they will continue to support them in whatever they do in future."

On the other hand, MBC and SBS have announced that all variety programs which have been stopped for a week might resume on 30th May after ex-president Roh Moo Hyun's state funeral on 29th May. Short of confirming the schedule, both tv stations have said that they will react accordingly to the situation but it's highly likely that everything will be back to normal. KBS declined to reveal their plans at the moment.

Loving Hyori...

Don't get me wrong with the title and please, I'm straight!!!.Honestly, I didn't like her at the beginning because of the extreme sexy image and non stop wild rumors about her.She has been in the KPOP industry for 10 years and started as the leader of FINKL.Though my Hallyu mania also started 10 years ago, I wasn't interested in her.
However, ever since I 'found' Family Outing, it changed my point of view of her. It's hard to explain in words but her changed from Queen Bee image to Farm girl is something that really impressed me.She shed of all make ups and her sexy dress and donned t-shirt,long pants , dorky glasses, unkept hair and caps.Even rain also shed his sexy image and became farm boy.

Hanbok

The above pictures are men and women wearing Hanbok. This is a general style, because Hanbok comes in a lot of styles and there are many colour variations. Most people who are young people do not have Hanbok, because it is uncomfortable in comparison to Western clothes. For this reason, most people do not wear Hanbok. If you visit Korea, you cannot see Hanbok often.Nowadays Hanbok has changed style to be more comfortable and easier to wear. For example, the modern Hanbok combines Korean traditional style and Western style.
The Hallyu popularity has spread out around the world thus making Hanbok much more popular.Even in Malaysia, Hanbok is one of choices for the wedding photoshoot selection.

Jeju-Do, Korea-My dream vacation

It's not that I don't like my own country , in fact Malaysia has hundreds of interesting place to visit .Yet due to my KPop craze for the last 10 years, Jeju-do or also known as Jeju Island in South Korea became my dream vacation. My Korean friends told me the island is also been regards as Hawaii of Asia.I don't have much details of Jeju-Do (i never been there!) but here's a link of interesting place of Jeju Island.

Tale of Kimchi

Ancient Korean word for collective kimchi was ji. The word was also said chim-chae, a translation into Chinese characters. Chim-chae means "immersing vegetables (in salt solution)". The word referred to any kinds of vegetable food processed by immersing in salt solution. The salt water was not to be taken; only the vegetable was. At that time the word was said as tim-chae, which became palatalized to be said as chimchi, then became kimchi.

From the seventeenth century kimchi went through a revolutionary development, especially with the use of chili. Chili was introduced from Japan shortly after their invasion of 1592, and began to be popularly cultivated in about 1600. Turnip was replaced by daikon radish, and Chinese cabbage came to be used more than any other vegetables, and kimchi became much close to the kimchi of today. Thus the radical change seems to come from the success in growing chili and larger vegetables like radish and Chinese cabbage. With the coming of cabbage and radish to replace the vegetables that were popular until then including turnip, cucumber and eggplant, Winter Kimchi also seems to have begun to be made populary about the same time in the same constitution as today's where the seasoning made of various flavorings and vegetables is stuffed between the cabbage leaves.

As kimchi's nutritional value is being scientifically confirmed, food scientists in and out of Korea are recommending it as the "food for future." The amount of kimchi export throughout the world is also increasing. The first exporters of kimchi were the first generation of Korean emmigrants. People who moved out to China, russia, Hawaii and Japan were "kimchi-sick" and made kimchi in the new communities. With their introduction, people who were there before Koreans came in came to know the food as its original name, "kimchi." In these places you can easily find kimchi in many Korean shops or in market. In the past in Japan kimchi was bought and sold between Korean settlers only. The market expanded in about 1985 to involve the Japanese people too, and now its circulation is very active. Kimchi is being known for its sterilizing effect, and the food value of garlic is being recognized in Japan. The need to ingest fiber is also being emphasized, which is abundant in kimchi. As their nutritional interest of kimchi increases, their preference of food itself is being changed. Thus, as a whole, kimchi is getting more and more popular all around the world as its nutritional value and unique flavors are being widely acknowledged.
